It is the bumper edge under the drivers side headlight so an area you cannot even get to it without pulling the bumper down from the headlight assembly. So either there was damage in transit and they fixed it or there was an issue with the initial paint or when the bumper was being attached.

Anyways, sorry for the thread going off-track. I was trying to express to the OP just be very thorough when doing the initial test drive and delivery inspection.

With the upper-end models it is harder to do so but just make sure to test drive the specific car you would like to purchase extensively.

I purchased my C63S just last month and had to have the dealer do a transfer for the car. So far the car has; a lot of rattles, high pitch whistle coming from passenger side mirror, high pitch whistle coming from aircap, defective leather in passenger door panel, cut on the front dash edge, front bumper edge under drivers side headlamp wasn't painted, passenger side window weatherstripping keeps coming off window, passenger window switch in the drivers side cluster stopped working.

I am hopeful that the dealer will resolve all of the issues but I have to say that so far this has been the worst car quality wise I have ever purchased (new or used).

Was your car made in the US or Germany?

Looks like he's got a cabrio, so it was built in Germany. None of them are made in the US anymore. MB has moved the sedan production to South Africa, but the sedan production is done now. They are preparing for the W206. Coupes and cabrios continue to be built in Germany. The cabrios are also much more prone to rattles given the lack of a roof and the fact that they weren't designed as a cab from the ground up. Chopping off the roof and adding a bunch of weight and bracing comes with consequences.

It is from Germany. The dealer has had the car for 4 days now and are working on the issues. Not sure how long it may be since one of the rattles towards the front dash was due to a bad metal a pillar clip that was just sitting in the A pillar. The clip has to be shipped from Germany.

At least I have a loaner while they work everything out.

I opened up a case with Mercedes US. The dealer is taking care of the broken window switch. Some rattles were due to defective clips and are waiting for new clips from Germany. They confirmed that there is a whistle from the AirCAP and passenger side but cannot confirm that other cars do not whistle as well above 35 MPH!?!?

I would say balljoints on lower control arm fails after 30k miles is kind of annoying.

Hey,

Currently at 54k for a 2018 C63 Coupe. My thoughts:

- I don't track it, so I do not have some wear that other drivers may otherwise have.
- Completely stock, will probably tune once warranty is up
- I have driven up and down the east coast, and as far west as Missouri with no issues
- Services done by the dealership while under warranty are great, mostly because of the loaners and the fact that they will take care of any little issue.
- Loads of fun to drive, solid car, many smiles per gallon!

-Things that I've gone to get checked out by the dealership:
1. Exhaust rattle, which they can't seem to get rid of completely.
2. Seatbelt retractor
3. Add oil / coolant levels
4. Replacing the Trunk Spring
