Anyone have the FI exhasut installed?

Just got the FI exhaust w/stock downpipes installed on my 2017 C63s Sedan. Its not very loud to be honest. Maybe 10% louder compared to amg stock (non-PE) exhaust under certain situations, other times basically the same. It does have a pretty complicated electronic module in the back that you can customize. Anyone have experience with this exhaust?

Well it sounds like you dont have the valves open... there is NO WAY a valved exhaust sounds the same as a (non-PE) .... they are 2 different beast

is there a valve or H gate valve ?? ( do you have 2 or 3 valves ?)

My c63s has stock headers, and all cats with a AWE switch-path exhaust , and when its open, its day and night from Stock non-pe .. night and day..

I am thinking of getting ModalWorks ( Catted DP's ) just for cooling and back pressure reasons.. but will keep high flow cats on it..

So im pretty sure there are 3 total valves. As this is a valevtronic exhaust the H valve is controlled by vacumn valves while the other 2 are by remote/electronically.

Although I have non pe on my c63s but on my c43 with pe it's night and day difference even in comfort mode.

Curious question how does the fi sound compared to stock? As in tone wise? I know YouTube vids isn't the best for sound but from vids I have seen they don't sound very deep toned and more raspy.

Tone is very different. More baritone and muscular. Drove my car more today. It sounded better at lower speed. It def has opened up since yesterday. However, at highway speeds, still about the same as stock

prob just the nature of this car. i have secondary cat delete and AWE Track exhaust but on the highway the car always looses its ooomph factor. anything above 4 4.5 rpm and the car doesnt sound great because of the smaller turbos.

According to ppl on the forum you need catless downpipes you feel it on the highway

Pretty sure these cars and most euro cars now have good sound insulation in them.
In the c43 even in sport+ on highway speeds it's very quite unless you floor it. It's as loud as cars with big fart cans.
Alot of other members have said to get more sound you pretty much need catless/high flow cat downpipes.

ohh dude.. I didnt know you were talking about the sound inside your cabin... :-( that has ZERO to do with the sound of exhaust , unless you put your seats down, and clear out the trunk..

yea haha...just not as loud inside as i would like, but i guess its ok for now. im going to the installer again on friday to have them check if they did the job correctly. theyre an AWE Exhaust dealer here in Dallas and the SwutchPath is very similar in design/sound according to Golan @ autotalent who I bought exhaust from. So just want to make sure, if its around the awe switchpath sound level atleast.

Well considering 99% of people dont want the DRONE and or cabin to be overly loud ....
Stand on the side of the street and have someone drive or film you driving by...

No one is going to video the sound from inside, to ask if this is louder then stock or what.. makes zero sense.. :-)

Its not about videoing lol. Im not a rap artist. I bought the c63s for the v8 character and to feel/experience hence my goal to make it louder as these turbo v8s are quite a bit quieter from the inside than the w204. Not sure about you, but I bought my car for my own satisfaction, and feel/hear the engine while im driving, not to show off to pedestrians/neighbors/etc.

I meant to video it so you can hear it and see how it sounds, if you are wanting more ( in cabin ) sound, then take the padding and carpet out of the trunk, and put the rear seats down, or take them out too... lol
I know mine is loud AF outside, and am glad its not that way inside the car, that would be insane to cruise on the highway and have to deal with that, but thats just me..

But I am confused, as you state yours is Quieter then a W205 ?? then what do you have ? you originally said a 2017 c6s Sedan, which is a w205 ... ????

Oops typo, meant w204 with the NA 6.2. Just trying to get more character out of the engine to be able to hear it better at times while driving. Maybe high-flow DPs are the answer...
