2000 mile rear diff oil change C63S

It's officially no longer required as of sometimes in early 2019. The ultimate source of truth is AMG Germany, and I called them while I was over there doing ED with my 2019. They checked my VIN and confirmed it's no longer required. What's going on with USA dealerships and MBUSA is a different story. Not sure why the messaging hasn't been consistent throughout, and why the English translation in the owner's manual hasn't been updated. The German manual has now a different wording and specifically states that the differential oil change is only required if the window sticker says so. The rest is up to you. There's no harm in performing it. I still decided to do mine. Had to find a dealership in Germany that could squeeze me in while I was traveling through town, but they did it no questions asked, however I had to pay for it as the maintenance plans obviously didn't apply in Germany. Wasn't very expensive, though.

I checked with my local MB dealership, US Corp MB and AMG MB. They all confirmed that 2019+ no longer require the 2,000 miles differential fluid change. I did complain that the printed owners manual still has it as being required and they apologized for the confusion.
I would say that if you have pre-paid maintenance and they cover it may as well do it. If they do not then it isn't needed anymore, per MB.

i just bought a 2021 C63 coupe as well an went through the break in period. im at like 2400 miles now. i drove it real gently for the first 1000 miles, low speeds, always in C, gradual acceleration, gradual braking etc. i was just real gentle on the car just to be precautionary, then after 1000 miles i started increasing the accelerating an braking incrementally as i put more miles on. i noticed at the beginning the car would up shift real fast, like too much. it would be in 5th gear by like 35mph, it was annoying because it felt like it had no power because of that. now at 2400 miles im driving it harder an faster but still not pushing the car to its limits. iv only floored the gad pedal maybe 2-3 times total an only taken the top speed up to 100mph. this car hits 100mph like its nothin. after all that the cars running great but obviously im still early in the mileage. btw i live here in the CA valley too, about 2 hours north of fresno.

My dealership told me it is no longer required. But the manual said it, so I kinda forced them to do it and it was covered under the maintenance package that I got.
