I honestly thought it was residue from a sticker, however it doesn't appear to live on the inside or outside of the glass - apparently in the middle - which leads me to believe it's an antenna? Pretty odd placement if you ask me - but maybe I'm wrong? What is it? Passenger side window - thin black line(s) - there are more than one
The General/generic items are listed in the attached pic.. but things like heated windshields, certain radio packages, and such all get smashed into the windshields..

No heated windshield -- the only options not on my car are the exterior carbon, aero package or carbon brakes - it has everything else from what I can tell, but nothing that really aligns with the pic you shared.
as i stated the pic is a generic pic, different windshields have different locations etc. is yours a factory windshield (signed in lower right side ?)
etc etc
its nothing to worry about, but if it drives you nuts i am sure some other member might have a more specific declaration of what it is.
Yep, factory new 1400 miles ago (I've only had the car a month) - I'm not overly concerned about it -- I just thought since it wasn't sticker residue it would be nice to know what it is and why it is where it is....kinda silly placement if you ask me.
Yes, it's an antenna. I have it, too. Not sure what it is for, but given the size it's for longer wavelengths, so most likely AM or FM. You may have noticed that Mercedes doesn't put a shark fin on top of the roof of their cars like other manufacturers do. All the antennas from radio to GPS etc. are all integrated.

That's for your Digital radio (DAB), which is the in-glass antenna.

OP is located in the USA and we don't have DAB. We have HD Radio instead, which is broadcast on the same FM band. The digital HD channels are broadcast on the existing FM analog channels, so as I said above, this is most likely the FM antenna for both analog FM and HD Radio.
