Have noticed this weird ticking noise on idle from the passenger side of engine bay. Seems to be coming from these two parts, what are they? and would they cause this noise?

Bump on this - part of the fuel system, not quite sure what though. Mine are quite loud as well.
Had/have same issue. Merc service centre said they couldn't figure out issue over 3 seperate service, if they even bothered looking. Took it to local mechanic who said it was coming from those 2 parts. He said something must have broken off inside hence why it rattles more than normal. Mine use to rattle constantly and very loud, even after a good 10min drive.
Got it replaced with a brand new part and it only ticks for few mins after startup and not as loud as it use to be.
