How to blackout the "fake" exhaust tips?
Is plastidipping/vinyl an option? I assume since they aren't physically connected it wouldn't get as hot? Or I could be completely wrong. Don't even see any on ebay, but maybe the c63s and glc63s tips are exactly the same?

I’d recommend avoiding plasti-dip and instead ceramic coating them black. There are also several DIY high-temp spray paints that can do the job as well. Check out VHT flameproof coating paint, regular ol’ grill paint, or anything paint that can withstand high heat - and pick the finish you want (satin, gloss, etc.).
VHT is probably your cheapest/best option if you want to DIY. Otherwise, remove the exhaust tips and bring them to a local ceramic coating place to get them done in a nice flat or satin black for that OEM look.

I'm all for DIY but every time someone's repainted set of chrome AMG tips with high heat black paint they looked sh*thouse. Something off about it compared to genuine black ones.
Get a set of genuine Night Edition tips from Mercteil, Kunzmann or second hand from a wrecker or ebay.
Don't get them from CKS.

I am actually planning to swap my stock night package black tips for chrome ones since I want them to stand out more.
