Lightbulb 2020 AMG C63s Under Carriage

Hello,

I just purchased a Certified pre-owned 2020 C63s (facelift) and I noticed that the car wasnt as loud as I expected. I took the car to a muffler shop to see about getting the secondary cats removed ( i should of took pics while it was on the life but forgot to) and it appears that they're already deleted along with the resonator. So I'm trying to get a picture of a 2020 one underneath to see if I'm mistaken.. all Im coming across are the older models. Thanks

I don't have a lift and I don't quite fit under there - but here are some reach under shots of my 2021 C63S, hopefully they help (AMG performance exhaust)

This is my car with aftermarket downpipe.
The place with brackets where you start notice pipe going up is where factory secondary cats are located.

Wow, thanks guys mine look exactly like this and I was thinking the previous owner removed them. So the 2020's or the W205's everything is pushed more towards the front it seems. I will take some pics of mine today...

The schematic is correct, the primary and secondary catalytic converters are both attached to the downpipe, which is one long piece. There is a lot of plastic covering this area so it's not very easy to spot.

I was afraid of that...I didnt want to replace the dp because then I would need a tune which will void my warranty unless I can somehow have it deleted before the primary but it looks real tedious.

You can still do a secondary cat delete or catted downpipes from ModalWorks or RedStar. These two options would not require a tune. However, your dealer might void your warranty so its up to you.

I am going through the same dilemma on my 2021 C63s :/

Did a secondary cat delete and its louder with a deeper growl but no pops and crackles. It struggles like it wants to but is muffled...so I wondering if I should replace the mufflers now with AWE valve control. The last option is to go with down pipes but dropping the tranny and tune I need a reliable experienced shop.

Are you running your car in RACE engine dynamic setting?
My car (FL 2020) pop and crackle a lot in RACE mode but not so much in Sport+ mode.

How many miles on your car?

AMG performance exhaust (after downpipe section) is already pretty good free flowing system. You won't notice much difference by installing AWE valved exhaust.
You can try exhaust valve simulator such as Renntech EVM to keep the exhaust flap fully open to bring out the maximum sound from factory exhaust system.

No CEL's or anything. The sensors I believe are near the Primaries, so thats why a tuned is recommended. Im hearing different stories on the warranty...some will say it will void the exhaust system warranty but not the rest of the car if a problem arises that has nothing to do with the exhaust.
