My NEW C63S

My NEW C63S
So after a long battle with myself on this particular car - I BOUGHT IT!
2020 C63S in Selenite Grey Metallic
The battle I had with the car was that I don't LOVE selenite grey, I think the magno version is sharp but overall I LOVE the way iridium silver looks on this car and I don't like those 5-spoke rims (think it's a crime on such a beautiful car especially for only $1750 add-on). But, I got this car for a little over $70k plus I got a very good trade offer on my Mustang, so the tax savings there were 2k versus going out of state. Plus a lot of new dealers are charging markups. I was likely going to XPEL stealth or PPF it anyway - so I can do that with a wrap or XPEL stealth.
I do LOVE the yellow stitching in this car - think it's gorgeous. The only other thing I would nitpick is that this car has the grey oak wood, which I would MUCH prefer carbon fiber but honestly it still looks really good!
Next steps:
1) Tint
2) OEM cross-spoke matte black rims (I'm gonna trade my wheels for them so net cost should be around 2-3k)
3) XPEL Stealth or similar wrap (either going for the mango selenite grey wrap OR wrapping in the mango silver or mango graphite)
Most important to me:
1) 2019 + model
2) Service history/condition/miles of the car - this car was delivered in Dec 2020 so it has 42 months of factory warranty left which is HUGE.
3) Digital dash
4) S model
5) Ext. Color
6) Rims
7) Interior (I just didn't want plain boring black)
8) Options (like drive assist/all that stuff - this car has the multimedia with nav, night package, illuminated star, HUD - basically loaded beside LED, performance buckets, and drive assist)

Congrats and welcome to the club. Odd looking seats, though! Did they redesign the AMG Performance Seats? They look different and no longer have the yellow stripe if you get the yellow stitching interior and seems like the lower side bolsters are less aggressive. I have the yellow stitching interior in my coupe. I don't have a good camera to take a wide angle picture of the interior, but below is a render of my build. The yellow stripes is what attracted me the most, and a big reason I went for the performance seats as the standard seats were lacking the stripes.

Hectic ride mate, congratulations. I love your full nappa leather steering wheel it looks classy as👌
Do you like the steering wheel mate? Or are you finding it a bit "thin" to grip?

LOVE the steering wheel. Wish it was a carbon fiber finish along with the interior but absolutely love the feel of it. One of the reasons I needed a 2019 + . The drive unit is SOO satisfying.

Definitely think so. I think it's criminal to not get those wheels from the factory given they are only $1250-$1750. the rims on this car SUCK. I'm gonna have to spend 3-4k to get the new ones. Gonna hopefully sell these for 2-3k as they are in MINT condition.

Ehh on this after having it a few days. It was a great deal but feel I should have just bought a new one for a bit extra with the XPEl stealth and rims I'm gonna have to put on it.

HATE these wheels - will 1000% be selling them and trying to get the black forged. It should be a crime not to put those on this car.

Huh. I actually like them....they're different. I could see how that giant lip would bug some people though. I'd still keep them if I were you for if and when you sell the car

I HOPE to be able to buy the OEMs & Recoup 2-3K from these rims.
I'm honestly somewhat regretting getting the car - it's soo much fun but it's not the spec that I wanted. I'm gonna have to drop 10k into the car to get it looking like I want & at that point in 8k away from new costs

Honestly, I love the way the OEM black matte forged rims look. I just think that for $1750 from the factory it's a NO BRAINER. Never been into the HREs or Forgiattos.

I agree the OEM black matte rim will look so much better.

If you are trading, DO NOT go by KBB or NADA right now, they DO NOT reflect the actual market values in today's weird times!

I was looking CPO and after looking at 2-3, 25-40K miles and 50-60K prices, I said the same thing, eff it, buy a new one. Took me a week to find exactly what I wanted and luckily my dealer is awesome and got it for me. GREAT time to be trading a used vehicle. I got WAY more than KBB and Nada says my truck was worth. The current used car pricing climate is PERFECT for sellers!

Color: XPEL stealth makes this like the design selenite (which is UNREAL) + 5k
Rims: I need the black cross forged but they'll probably be 4-5k
So I'm spending 8-9k and that's 5k-10k from a new S...
But then I wouldn't get the tax benefit of my trade which was 2500
This deal made soo much sense on paper - but I'm feeling I made a mistake
