MY21 Coupe Allocation

Well the run on Sedan's is also close to an end. Just 5 days ago there were 5-6 in the MidAtlantic area, now, just 3. I bought mine from MB Annapolis MD (Wayne) with NO MSRP in early July. I'd go through them and not the Northern Va (NOVA) dealerships if someone is interested, guaranteed the NOVA dealers will be adding ADM's. They were doing that even before the announcement.

So that iridium silver one is still available, for anyone interested. It’s on the showroom floor at MB Alexandria, VA. It’s nicely spec’d but they’re firm on $15k ADM.

Edit: Disregard.. It was available around noon today, they emailed back around 2pm stating it's sold!

My car took just 5 weeks from the time it shipped from Germany to the time I took delivery. And 2 of those weeks was because of all the out of state paperwork, dealer tint/ppf job, and the dealer having to shipping it across the country. From the time it got on the water, it took just 12 days to reach the SoCal VPC, that's why I think you should have it mid to end of September at the latest barring something unusual coming up.

Just heard this morning ours has been produced (I have a VIN) but they don't have a vessel name yet, so apparently it is either on the train or is waiting in the lot. Tomorrow will be 1 week since I received the build sheet with the VIN. Not precisely sure when the dealer received the VIN. I know the car was originally scheduled for build on 7/10. How long are cars currently waiting at the port in Bremerhaven to be shipped? I'm trying to get an idea of when the car will arrive as we are weighing selling her 2018 C300 Cab outright or trading it in. In Indiana we get a 7% sales tax credit on a trade-in, so that's a considering factor as well.
I received my vin on 7/1 (Netstar update) and my car was produced on 8/17 (Netstar update). As of today it's still in the produced/not shipped status. It has been 9 calendar days and still in the status. The Netstar document still has nothing in the vessel name or arrival eta yet. So you are probably 7-10 days behind mine. I will keep you posted on any new updates. My dealer is giving me daily updates.........

The timeline is lopsided now due to parts shortages. My understanding is that the HERMES communication module is not available currently. It gets installed at the VPC, but they are waiting for them and the cars are getting held at the VPC. The dealership can request it, though, and make you sign a waiver acknowledging that the car is incomplete and that you'll bring it back for the module to be retrofitted. They are expecting them sometime next year, but no clear timeline has been given so far. W/o the HERMES module none of the Mercedes me service will work, including eCall and Wi-Fi hotspot. If I remember correctly, the wireless charger is also not being offered at the moment for the same reason.

Thanks...
I confirmed with my dealer that this does not apply to the c63s coupes.

Yeah I got confirmation twice. A few weeks ago I asked my dealer when the news first was posted by MB....then I just wanted to be safe when he just posted. @RavenM6 just took delivery of his C63 and didn't have any delays with that module/chip.
Thanks

Interesting. Wonder if that means the modules are sat aside for AMG models or maybe they just get preferential treatment.

We're on the fence on this as well. We didn't do it for her C300 and everything is fine 3 years later. Our biggest issue is whether or not we keep the stock rims on the car. It was ordered with the Cross Forged Black rims and my wife currently has the classic 5 spoke AMG design and loves it. So we're likely going to forego that package. The question then comes to mind of whether we get the warranty on the replacement rims and tires (as the rims will definitely be AMGs). I'm not sure if it's available, or even then if we would get it. We're not planning on taking the car to the track or driving it Chris Harris style frequently enough to burn through the tires faster than rated wear. If you're someone who plans on driving it hard, taking it to the track, etc. I would say it's probably worth it. Have you seen the prices on AMG rims?

Heard from the dealer yesterday afternoon the car is in B600 (I think he said) status, which I believe means it is either at the port or on it's way. Have had some conflicting information there, so cannot be for sure. What I do know is the last few vehicles the dealer has received from the Bremen factory have been waiting at the port for around a week or so before being placed on a ship. In either case the logistics person at the dealer said they expect delivery around the 1st of October.

I got an update today from in my dealer as well. I'm also in B6 status & factory invoiced (B60 & Z50). Same as you it sounds like. Dealer said it's 100% complete and passed all the inspections and checks and now waiting to ship. Sounds like our cars are together and probably will arrive at Baltimore VPC at same time!

Thanks. I got the stock 5 spoke gray AMG wheels, which i like the style better than any of the multi spoke black wheels. I like black wheels the best, but prefer a 5 spoke design. I doubt I will do a tire and wheel warranty, as I plan on getting a set of winter tires and wheels to run during November-February. Especially being in New Jersey.

that sounds good! We have other cars as well, but I still want to drive it at least in the cold weather here and there. Not necessarily snow.

So I have a Tesla Model 3 Performance that has the Pilot Sport Cup 2's on it and I drove it around for past 2 winters no issue. When it gets a little icy out it gets a bit sketchy, but other than that the PSCs did just fine. (Mind you, it's AWD and I never drove it in the snow. I'd wait until the roads were cleared before driving it.)

This 2021 C63s coupe was still available as of yesterday morning. It’s one of the final unsold ones left in the country. Jump on it if you still can!
