ZAC Motorsports intake turbo inlet ripped — safe to drive?
Finally got around to installing the ZAC motorsports intake. I had to cut one of the stock turbo inlets off (the other came off poking around it with a flathead) so until I get a new stock inlet I can’t go back to stock. And to push the new inlet over the vacuum lines, I made the mistake of trying to use the same flathead to widen the new inlet hole a bit to wiggle it over the barb. It poked right through, so there’s now a small tear in that inlet, maybe 1/4” or so.
Obviously I need to replace this inlet adapter, but between now and then (when I can get one shipped here from Australia or whatever), is this safe to drive? I’ve wrapped some electrical tape around the hole hoping to keep the seal… but i have no idea how well they will work. Anyone have any ideas for the best temporary fix?
