Rear end whine
If MB dealer is being truthful then there should be other owners who have experienced this. I also find it hard to believe that MB HQ are unaware of this problem if it is known to affect nany C63’s.
Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Driveshaft:
My mechanical knowledge is limited but I assume you mean the driveshaft between the differentail and the offside wheel. Is it possible for my independent dealer to check this without major expense?
Oil:
I have looked back at my invoices and the oil used is Viscosity 75W-140 and Oil Quality 235.61 which is correct according to my internet searches.
Many thanks, Jonathan
We were talking about a whining issue a few days ago (although your car have a different whine, it too were coming from the rear end)
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...elerating.html
The mechanic from the Mercedes dealership from whom I purchased the car new said that not only could he not link any variability in the noise to roads, temperature etc but he thought the frequency of the noise was constant whatever the speed (a constant sonar like frequency). The only variable was load - on the ramp he was unable to replicate the sound but on the road and even in the dealership forecourt it was clearly evident and he noted it in some of the W205 C63’s but not others that he serviced.
The Mercedes Independent thought differently. He noted the sound but thought it more like a high pitched whine, increasing with speed, coming from the offside rear and less when cornering right.
Many thanks, Jonathan
