Why would you name Renntech, vs what the actual brand is/was ?? (was it a renntech item?)
So when you installed your ASR, did you unplug your battery ? ( seems like NO )
Since there are sub systems in the car that monitor a ton of other crap, anytime you introduce another electrical element, its almost 100% to disconnect the battery, as any change in resistance and draw, with start to freak the car out, if it hasnt adapted for it.

I have not heard nor seen this problem prior ( FYI)

Renntech doesn’t make their modules, there’s is a private brand ASR module. If you’re a US buyer and try to buy from ASR directly, they refer you to Renntech USA. The YouTube install video I watched didn’t mention disconnecting the battery so maybe that’s where the issue arose from.
