Australia-Mercedes won't cover Warranty Items

Everything depends on your relationship with the service advisor.
Having said that, I did have the exhaust tips on our GLS replaced under warranty because they also discolored/flaked like in the ones you pictured.

I’m a bit late to this thread but I’ve had great dealings with Merc. Replaced both my front seats when the stitching on the leather started to fail, and replaced internal engine parts when my car was modified. I paid for labour, they paid for the parts. Mind you I was out of warranty too. Have you tried contacting heading office directly?

Australia. I actually drove to the dealership from the track with race numbers still on it, as the engine was damaged. Got it all inspected, put a warranty claim in and Merc said yes

Dealership change?
I could be wrong but my experience has been great and I’m thinking it comes down to the people that run your local dealership. Out of warranty they replaced a worn wiring loom and the drivers seat with worn bolsters (Australia- Maroochydore MB dealership).
Maybe you could try another dealership?

Update.
NCAT Hearing this afternoon and Mercedes has insisted that they won't fix it.
I need to gather all information I can that I'll use as in this trial.
If anyone has any info I could use to win this case it would be greatly appreciated. PM me and I'll give you an email address to send to.

Really can't believe MB aren't willing to fix the issue or even come to a compromise.

let us know how it went, i have bought a gls350 and it has the color fading issue on the outside chrome trims, first i didnt know why it was happening until i search up on this form, many having the same sort of issues
