Aston Martin Vantage with AMG engine
What do you guys think? I really like the look of it. I wanted a C8 Z06 convertible but not wiling to pay $25k over MSRP with 2-3 years waiting list. So in the mean while, I looking for a used Aston Martin Vantage with the AMG engine.

Yes but I didn’t test drive it. Checked out the same car twice with the upgrade two tone red interior and it beautifully. I’m going to be very patient on finding the right exterior/interior colors combo.

Always been a big fan of the AM design. Gorgeous cars from the outside, but the letdown has always been the interior, specifically the tech and the switchgear. The Mercedes tech they are using now is the old old COMAND system with an AM UI, but it's not even NTG 5.5. Basically AM bought outdated tech from Mercedes to replace their terrible in-house tech. Their viability is also constantly in question. They are effectively one bad decision away from bankruptcy.

mannn, its definitely got a unique look for sure. the fact that you can get an AMG engine but in a manual stick shift is also a plus. I think should go on par with Porsche for high end autos with a manual transmission.

I have the 2017 C63s coupe and a 2020 Aston Martin Vantage. Even though they have the same engine, they are two very different cars. The Vantage is more agile, has a louder exhaust and gets more looks. On the track, the Vantage is better balanced and does not eat through tires and brakes like the C63s. Both are incredible cars. The Vantage will make you feel a little more special. It's German muscle dressed in a British suit!

They can't be cheaper than a C8Z even with ADM, last I checked they were still like 120k ish. Have they dropped a bit more?
Any case, that is the car on my list in the next 3-5 years. With the M177 and Mercedes Electronics, it'll probably be the most reliable Aston ever.

I personally cannot stand the new Vantage and its ugly grill, on top of that the build quality is poor and AM's future as a whole is definitely questionable at best.
Now the old Vantage, with the glorious V12 or even the V8, that was a fantastic Aston.

What a joke !!! I started shopping for aftermarket mods for the car. They want $7k for the little front bumper side lips and rocker panel side lips. $7k is discounted from $10k. 😫

Well, very low volume carbon fiber parts. Not surprised. I don't wanna know what AMG charges for the carbon fiber exterior pieces if I had to buy them individually. Together they were a $5000 upgrade over the piano black plastic. Probably higher volume still than what these guys are selling, so cheaper to produce.

I understand, but these aftermarket parts are likely produced as one-offs when ordered, so higher production costs vs a higher volume production for OE parts, and less volume to amortized the development cost.
