On my vin decoder it says I have keyless start which I never knew as I have to turn the key, the start button has came and worked but how do I get keyless entry to work. I took it to mercedes and they said you have chrome handles and the sensor so it should work. Not sure if there disabled or faulty or I just don't have them as its not on the vin.
To unlock place your open hand with palm facing toward you inside the door handle (as if you were going to grab and pull). To lock rest a finger on top of that small square indent. Key has to be further rearward than the mirrors or it won't work.
Side note- The keyless-Go is notorious for failing. I'm on my second w205 C and both have had the keyless-Go go wonky by year 3
Following the advice by forum member '1663s, did you also try other door handles?
I've tried it, it didn't work. Tried pressing lock and unlock twice to reset it. Also noticed boot isn't hands free unless it's related to keyless entry. Some people say keyless start and entry are in one package and some say no.

It certainly is optional (keyless go or to use the term you used, keyless entry) but keyless start is standard. However, since your vehicle have the sensor indents I don't see why your vehicle won't have it. If the factory accidentally put keyless go handles on your vehicle even though it wasn't optioned, I am hoping it is just disabled via software.
Perhaps you can post your VIN here: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...in-decode.html (it is an E-Class thread but they can still decode it for you)
and ask for a datacard and decode the VIN to see if your vehicle does have the option. Although it is certainly weird if it wasn't optioned because your vehicle does have the keyless go door handles.

I see, see if you can manage to enable it in Xentry, if it works then it was just disabled by software.
If the options list for your VIN doesn't include it, then your car doesn't officially have it. I'm assuming you are not the original owner, so a previous owner may have retrofitted it, but the coding may have been wiped with a software update. If that's the case, you'll have to find somebody who can redo the retrofit. Your dealership probably won't be of much help if the car doesn't officially have the option and you'll be at risk of it getting wiped again during a future software update. I see you are in the UK, so not sure how the options are being packaged. I did a quick configure on the UK website and it looks like KEYLESS-GO is part of the premium package.
