*****Yup. They are putting smarter guys on the job. A lot of times, local techs are just that - local techs. They can do basic work and flow chart type diagnostics but they aren't necessarily the best at figuring out why something has happened beyond just replacing a bunch of parts and hoping the problem and/or you just go away. These cars are complicated, and there are some mechanics that are better at identifying and fixing your problem. Hopefully, you get a good resolution and your car back fixed.

however , the next Day CEL again.... crap makes no sense.

I’m sorry to hear that they didn’t fix the car. Unfortunately most of the techs here are incompetent and limited to what MBUSA tells them to replace. In reality dealer can’t do much in terms of improvisation because it has to be approved and paid for by MBUSA. Call MBUSA to open a case with them and complain non stop. Have them send someone from Germany (it’s an option for them, they can and they do it) to fix the car.
Will have the paper in hand next week , see the cash breakdown and settlement and or options

So I take it you are not utilizing the lemon designation. Depending on your state, this may be a ship that has sailed - as authorizing further repair after such designation may be deemed a waiver of your legal rights (or alternative, laches precluding you from asserting such a claim).
