Mercedes me connect services renewal

In case you haven't seen it, somebody over in the EQS forum attended a webinar about the Mercedes me store that's finally getting rolled out in the USA, so we can renew the services once they expire.

https://mbworld.org/forums/eqs/84282...store-usa.html

Compared to some competitors, the pricing is pretty reasonable. I basically don't care about remote engine start as I never really used it, but I'll probably renew everything else. Looking at $175/year or about $14/month. Audi for example charges more than double for the same functionality. The store is supposed to launch July 13.

thanks for sharing so each service is now sold individually? so like 210 bucks for everything... is that not what it cost in the past? On my 2019 GLE AMG that is what we paid yearly if I recall correctly or somewhere near that. I do like the fact that you can now pick and choose which service you have. Like you I dont ever use remote start and live traffic suck. I guess they call it live because it tells you about the traffic jam once your sitting in it LOL.

Here in ATL, the remote start is a nice feature for when it's a mild 100+ degrees here in the summer. Allows me to not get completely charred when I first get in after the car has been sitting out in the sun for a while.

Not quite every service is sold individually. Some of them are bundled together like vehicle monitoring for example is several individual services in one bundle. But yes, everything would be $210. Traffic is very accurate around here for me. I like it because even if I'm not currently navigating it alerts me over the speakers of upcoming congestions or traffic alerts, and I can see them since I pretty much always have the map up on the center screen, but it's only as good as the data in your area. The more cars on the road that are using HERE traffic, the more live data is collected from actual vehicles, on top of the official data from the highway authorities etc.

I just use the convenience open feature to lower the windows, open the sunroof and turn on the seat ventilation as I walk up to the car. That lets the majority of hot air escape, instead of the AC having to cool a 100+ degree interior, and the seat ventilation quickly cools the leather so I can sit down w/o getting cooked.

The LIVE traffic voice alerts comes on too much when driving in just plain stop and go traffic in the NYC area. I went into Menu, then Announcements and disabled it but still get the Voice announcements: "Traffic Event Ahead". Further investigationI revealed that the Traffic Live expires this month June 2022.
Not sure if or when me mercedes expires on my car (purchased April 2019)? Not sure if Traffic Live is part of me mercedes? Not sure how I will be notified before it will expire. If it is just Traffic Live renewal I do not plan to renew as it more annoying to me.

Yes, Live Traffic is one of the Mercedes me services. With the 2019 we all got a three year complimentary subscription and all services will expire on the 3 year anniversary. You can go to the app or the portal to see all the expiration dates. They should all be the same, except some services are lifetime until further notice, but things like Live Traffic, map updates, vehicle info etc. all expire together based on the 3 year complementary subscription.

Thanks for sharing this information. I don’t use the MB nav and traffic data much anymore (preferring CarPlay unless out in a rural area without cellular signal) but the remote capabilities and vehicle monitoring are useful on occasion.

I don't see it in the app yet, but the store is live.
