Can’t get Pilot Sport 4S in the UK right now - best alternatives?

I have a 2017 C63S and ordered some new P4S’s two days ago. Today they called me and said they had contacted Michelin directly and they they don’t have a date for when they’ll have more.

Can anyone recommend other options?

Thanks

My new 2019 C63s coupe came with the stock Michelin Pilot Super Sport. I switched to the Michelin P4S after 1,100 miles. This was done on the excellent reviews on the P4S tires.
Not sure what you have on now but one option is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Or you can call MB Dealership to see if they have the Michelin P4S in stock. My experience has at times the Independent Tire Co. don't have them available or on backorder but the Dealership does.

Right, you can always go back to the OE tire. Michelin is likely prioritizing supplying the OE market. Since the PS4S in the coupe/cab sizes at least are not OE, they're harder to come by at the moment. You can also contact other places and see if they still have the PS4S in stock. Some alternatives w/o personal experience are the Conti ExtremeContact Sport, Bridgestone Potenza Sport, Yokohama Advan Apex V601, Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2 and the Pirelli P Zero (PZ4). I've had the old P Zero on my previous car. Didn't hate it from a handling perspective. The PZ4 is supposed to be not bad. With all the rain in the UK it's probably not a good idea, but if you want something a bit more hardcore and limit driving to dry days you can put the Michelin Cup 2 on.

I ordered from TireRack a few months ago and they called and said the didn't have the 245/35/19 ps4s tire I ordered. I asked them about the MO1 mercedes specific variant and he had that in stock. You could try for the mo1 or the BMW specific tire if you want

Thanks everyone.

I have 19's on front and back and Blackcircles and all of the other retailers can't get the 285's for the rears

Have you tried to go through your dealer? I had problems ordering them through the retailers like Tire rack, etc., but dealers will get preferential allocation for tires over these retailers and they had a set for my sedan in a couple days. This was about 3 weeks ago. Pricing was maybe $200 more overall after mount/balance.

Edited to mention that I am in the US, not UK.

Yes, spoke to three local dealers today and all had to call Michelin and confirmed they could not source the 285/30's for the rears.

All suggested Super Sport's

If they do not have a 285 in stock, see if they have a 295. It will fit without a problem. I run 305/30/19 on my coupe and it fits without any problems, even after I added a 12mm spacer to the rear. No rubbing at all.

Oh really? I didn't realise I could go with 295 and it would fit. I'll check that.

UPDATE:

They have the 295/30. Should I stick with the 255/35 on the front or better to go to 265/35 to balance out the rears? Sorry if that's a dumb question!

Anyone know if the fronts should stay 255 if the rears are moving up from 285 to 295?
