RPM rise after transmission oil change

hi guys, I have a question hoping you guys can help me out. I just did an transmission oil change, and i realized some weird thing happened to my transmission. when I shift from P to D, the engine RPM at idle rise about 500 rpm, and when i shift from D to R, the engine RPM rise also and my car just surge forward and i can feel the gear change very obvious, this never happed before i change my transmission fluid. what may cause this, did i overfill the fluid or underfill. thanks,

here is a video i took

ps: the old oil is green, but the new one i bought from benz is blue, is that ok?

*****I've never heard of green transmission fluid. What year is the car? I used blue fluid in my 2018 C63s. Pic below of the type I used. Did you follow proper procedure in changing out the fluid and refilling it using a pump from the bottom, with the motor running? Did you install the overflow plug properly? Did you use the correct filter and not the old style filter which could cause cavitation from not sitting in the pan at the same height as the correct filter? If not, the level will be way off and cause flaring and slippage. Fluid needs to be at like 113 degrees Fahrenheit with the car running before putting the drain plug back in..

If the car doesn't drive or shift properly after the trans fluid change, you have a problem that *needs* to be fixed so you don't damage the system.

Take a pic of the old fluid if you still have some. The old fluid on my car came out... blue, just like what I put back in it.

Good luck and hope it works out.

*****How many miles on the car, and was there any evidence of burning smell in the fluid or excessive clutch material in the pan? Were the magnets in the pan full of metal shavings? If the transmission was working fine before the change I kind of wonder if the wrong filter was put in, or if it was not fully engaged into the valve body leading to cavitation which could cause your problem, but it would be noticeable driving the car as well.

I've seen guys try and save a few dollars by buying the correct fluid, but buying the older filter for the prior generation C63 with the red fluid (not the newer blue fluid) not knowing there is a difference. The pans are different between the cars and the filters need to be matched to the correct pan type of your generation of car as well as using the correct fluid (blue or red), or it can cause cavitation and slippage. Check your receipt for the serial number/part number or look on the box it all came in and verify it is correct. Mistakes happen.

I can see people making mistakes on servicing these transmissions. Many other cars are much easier to service than these, and have traditional dipsticks and filler tubes, etc..

Good luck.

Have you reset your transmission after the change? Good work on changing it yourself by the way mate. We need more owners making an attempt to DIY here!

Can you try this please? And tell us if this fixes the higher RPM issue?
