Thoughts? Personally I really dislike the instrument cluster just being a tablet and no physical buttons on the console for drive modes and climate controls. I hope they do something different for the 63 but they probably wont

At least the tire setup from factory is a step in the right direction. I assume the c63 will be able to fit some meaty tires to put that 4 banger to the ground. wont really need to do much. has race mode and launch control. cool. engine is definitely a let down per spec sheet. 4.6 0-60. i assume testing will reveal its faster. The question becomes how far can that little amg engine be pushed. looks like it is closed deck and has forged pistons. So what can those rods take and what is the turbo limit? Probably only turbo upgrade option will be to bore it out maybe depending on what electronics looks like. This car will probably be great for people that dont want to mod, but modding it may prove to be difficult. I am sure the c63 with the extra electronics will only be even more difficult to properly tune. sad day to see this becoming reality. just maybe there is a chance this is all a joke the the c63 will have the v8.
the whole AMG brand took a hit once they started coming out with these 43/53s, took away all the exclusivity. ok im done venting

In your previous post on a different thread you shared with us many specs and technical details on the W206 C63, one key thing is how much weight it gains, I wonder if they are taking their sweet time trying to figure out how to lower the weight. Hopefully they are able to achieve that otherwise unless people just want the newest from MB, it may be a tough sell when competitors with inline 6 and V6 still exists and going from V8 to inline 4 yet slower to the competition in general.
The W206 C43 performance numbers don't look too good for example, but hopefully it is just a conservative number, like you mentioned will need to wait for the driving reviews, hopefully it ends up impressing us.

My bet is 4180lbs
The battery in the amg gt e performance weighs 196lbs and will most likely be the exact same battery

The amg gt 63 didn't also lose half its engine and half the heat exchangers going to the e performance model though.
