Gear temp of my C63s coupe reahes 140 + !! Help !!!!
W205 : Mercedes c63 coupe 2018 - So I have got this mercedes c63 2018 .. When I am driving on a highway the gear temp is around 120 and when I am driving in the city due to traffic it reaches max temp 140+ is it like normal ?? Or its really risky to drive my car at this temp. You have a look at my snap. Thanks
Any suggestions would be appreciated !!!
As you can see the engine oil at 98 is ideal but the temp is way high at 132 !!!

I concur, you've got a leak somewhere. That's way too high. Transmission temperature is generally around 10C cooler than the engine. The transmission is in normal operating range starting at about 48C and the engine at 60C. You can see the normal operating range on those gauges. Your transmission is in the red and overheating. There's protective mesh for all those radiators in the front, because they are known to suffer from rock damage. AMG fits them from the factory now on the FL models and there should be a recall or service campaign for older models.

*****You will roast that transmission very quickly at those temps. Leak in coolers or some other such problem. Regardless, get it fixed or it will get really really expensive assuming nothing is damaged already.

If you're in Sydney you can have mine for free I've got a whole set 2x aux coolers and a main radiator with the factory mesh protectors etc. ready for pickup

*****How cool would it be if he were in the next town over from you! Odds are slim of course, and he is probably literally on the other side of the planet (Earth..), and is already cringing in horror at the estimate he has received for replacing his aux coolers!
Some poor dude in our MB club had the dreaded leak out of warranty, and they quoted him $3k Americano to replace *just* the broken cooler (ONE cooler). Heck, at that point, I'd replace everything as it's not *that* much more work once the bumper and fascia are off!!!

Tell me about it man. I got hit with $3000 bill to replace those a few years ago. Never had a problem after Mercedes secretly released those protection grilles and I got a set. Pri*cks....
If I were the op and can't pick up my coolers I'd just replace them with modalworks ones. The Mercedes coolers suck big time.
