Renntech EVM installed and now rear trunk issue?

I installed the Renntech Exhaust Valve Module and coincidentally now my rear trunk does not open when I kick underneath the car.
My trunk still opens manually and when I use latch release from front of car.

Anyone who installed this have similar issue or fix?

You should just uninstall EVM and see if the problem persists.
Anyway, I never had trunk opening issue with EVM.

I had an EVM on my 2020 C63s and no issues. Might be worth speaking to Renntech, about possible faulty board or software?

My EVM is for sale also if anyone is interested, as I've changed vehicles.

Does the EVM work though?

Yes works fine. I don’t need the trunk kick feature too bad but will eventually disconnect and check to see if it works.
it’s nice to have the EVM, exhaust sounds better than before.

Probably better off. I find the feature annoying. I can press the button on the remote or in the door to open the trunk. I look silly kicking my foot under the car like I'm playing invisible soccer. Even more annoying when I'm washing my car or putting on my car cover (not remembering to remove the key from my pocket and leave it far away) and the trunk suddenly pops up like a happy puppy wanting to play.
Some aftermarket diffusers block the sensor though. Did you by any chance add one recently?

If this helps but the reverse kick works better for me might be too for you.

lol , luckily I never had the problem of trunk opening when washing.
Just locks opening closing when washing.
No I did not install a diffuser.

I usually do the reverse kick as well it unfortunately not working now.

You're absolutely right, and works better if the leg is uncovered as the sensor detects skin better than other synthetic materials... So make sure you pull your pant leg up first!
