AMG C 63 S. 2015

W205 AMG exhaust flap 2

I have a code reading of P1 40471 and P1 40472
Exhaust flap 2 malfunction, actuator not open
actuator not close Exhaust flap2.
how can I identify which is exhaust flap 2
is exhaust flap 2 H pipe or rear mufflers ..

The one at the H-pipe is identical to the others, but you can deduce that it is the broken one if the flaps on the mufflers open and close normally when they are energized. Easy fix. Oh. I also lubed the rod/tab thing thing with a penetrating lube on the muffler as it was noticeably more resistance to spin it than the other side - dunno how long that would last, but it did seem to free it up and make it a lot easier to spin so presumably less force on the actuator...
