Just ordered a 2023 C63 Coupe...

Here is my configuration. It goes to the AMG rep to get approval and then I'll get a build schedule. Dealer feels confident it shouldn't be a problem. It was a huge surprise to me that MB is building these because I didn't think it was going to happen. Evidently it showed up on the configurator yesterday as I found out from another member so I jumped on it. Final editions are a joke with the 36k package that gets you some stickers, badges and a car cover. Not to mention dealers have them marked up from 30-50K right now. My prediction is they will sit at that markup for a while before they have to lower it to get them sold. I felt a 5K markup was reasonable from my dealer so I didn't argue it. I enclosed the configuration so others can see all of the standard options that comes with a 2023 in case someone else is considering getting one. One thing of interest will be the sound as I've heard the Final Edition sounds as good as the PFL. I wonder if that will carry over to all 2023 Coupes. I'll have to wait and see for myself.

I'm surprised that they took your order in. I thought MB was done building new C63s and now making deliveries just the ones already been built. Anyway if it's new allocation, congrats! Hope all goes well. I visited a local dealer recently that has 2023 C63s to test drive. After learning the final edition got some upgrades to exhaust sound, I was curious if this change was made to all final year C63s. So I even asked my friend to come along who owns a PFL C63 to determine the sound difference. Long story short, no. Exhaust was quiet, nothing improved, nothing impressive bangs, pops and crackles like good old PFL. But who knows, it might get better after the break in period.

I thought no more as well until the 2023 C63 popped up on the configurator yesterday. That's why I ran down today to place it and it was submitted. Dealer just needs to hear back from the rep and doesn't think it will be a problem. So we'll see I guess. I don't have my hopes up on the exhaust. It would be nice but if not I'll deal with it when I get the car.

Congrats on your order OP, I wonder what are the changes exhaust wise on the final edition anyways? Hopefully we have a video clip or (multiple) eventually comparing a 2022 C 63 S, 2023 C 63 S, 2018 C 63 S and 2023 C 63 S Final Edition.

Wow congrats! I agree with @parrrky417 , I’m surprised your dealer got an allocation this late in the game. Can you explain what you mean by “popped up on the configurator” means? Are you referring to the MB website configurator? Because my dealer was saying allocations were handed out last year and no more were coming, as @parrrky417 mentioned the ones that got them are already being built and shipped. I’d love To get one to the exact spec I want if it were still possible.

Yep, here in Europe you cannot order anymore. Even asked in Germany, no way

I had a build sheet confirmed back to me by my dealer late last year, things were looking promising back then when they told me they’d likely only be getting one allocation and I was first on the waitlist. Then after months of waiting, all they have coming is a single FE which was offered to me but I turned down.

OP I really hope it works out and they actually assign a PO to your build…fingers crossed!

That's awesome man! I had an allocation for a CLA 45S after waiting a long time to for the S to come to the US. Then last week - I noticed there were non-Final Edition C63s on sale. I am very tempted to switch over and get one of these. Literally had no idea they still made them this late.

I think getting the C 63 S is the better choice if you don't mind not having the more "modern" interior that the CLA 45 S has. The exhaust note will be more rewarding instead.

I was able to reserve a pre-built '23 c63s this past weekend that is currently in transit and due early April. The only regret is that it is mostly spec'd out to OPs build but is in the Magno grey color and its missing the aerodynamic package, LED intelligent light system and the most important thing to me... the performance seats! I have been checking with other local dealers and they have a few that are available but have less features and none come w the seats. Y'all think I should keep the reservation and grab the current build without the performance seats?

^^ Speaking from experience I would pass on a car that doesn't have what you want. I got rid of a brand new 2018 GLA 45 after three months because I compromised and took the regular seats. I've also wound up retrofitting some options on cars which is expensive provided it can be done because some things can't be retrofitted. I don't like the look of the standard headlight and in addition I believe there is no automatic high beam as well. Aerodynamic package makes the car if you ask me as well as performance seats. To me that car would be a hard pass - just my opinion. Trust me, every time you get in the car you'll be thinking about the options you don't have because you compromised.

I agree with OP. LED Intelligent Light System does make a difference in look. There are plenty of new C63s out there in Graphite Grey Magno with loaded options. It's your choice that matters but since you asked, I'd start searching and making calls. When the warmer season hits here in Northeast region, people would start grabbing these final year of the last emperor. Good luck.

@benzbell , how did you manage to order the DC4 AMG Carbon Fiber Package I with the DA2 Driver Assistance Package? The MB website configurator doesn’t allow those 2 options together on a build.

Well dam, I ended up making those calls around and found one that was extra loaded but is located out of state. It has pretty much every option I was looking for and also includes the ceramic brake system, high performance tires and the 2 carbon fiber packages that I could of probably did with out. I fielded calls for about 7 of the cars with the specs I wanted but everyone was taking minimum 10k over asking and some in California doing 20k above. I found this dealer and they were able to meet at the middle with 5k over MSRP. Definitely felt a little sticker shock for a C class but at the end it should be worth it. Let me know what you think about this build. Thanks for your help so far.

It's a mistake on the configurator which is fairly common once a new year is added. My build was configured at the dealer which is more accurate. No reason the Driver Package should affect carbon mirror caps and a rear spoiler.

Great build. Looks like the only thing it doesn't have is the rear side airbags. I passed on ceramic brakes on mine because there is something that really bugs me about only the front being carbon ceramic.

Yeah I initially figured it had to be a glitch but then I thought maybe there's a mirror sensor that those carbon caps conceal preventing the option from being added so it's good you were able to add it.

The car I'm looking at is spec'd almost exactly like yours in magno graphite, but without the DA2 option. It's a dealer build, they're willing to let it go @ MSRP which sounds like a good deal in today's market. I don't really care for the DA2 option as I disable all those nanny features on my '21. The distronic sounds nice but I've yet to take a road trip with my car so I doubt I'd ever use it more than a handful of times within the span of my ownership. However, if I had the option of ordering the DA2, I would because it might add to any possible future resale value.

Shopping for new 2023 c63s coupe

Congrats on your purchase. Mine is coming from Washington state.
advice to everyone. don’t let dealers push you around call every dealer you can find the car you want at. There are still plenty left.
The final edition however is a money grab. the final edition has nothing for the 36,000 extra.
It doesn’t have the carbon fiber packages, it doesn’t even have the ceramic brakes, it’s a joke.
the local Mercedes dealer in Ft. Lauderdale wanted 50,000 over MSRP as a market adjustment. Other dealers wanted 10,000 to 20,000, good luck to them.
I found a dealer in Washington that was willing to make the deal at MSRP. They did charge me for the protection package, 700 bucks lol but i wasn’t going to argue any longer.
im having it shipped.
im looking for a cold air intake replacement, does anyone have suggestions? Eventuri ? I think the closed box is a better setup than the open filter cones.
It’s hard to find one that lists the 2023 c63s coupe. I would think if a kit fits a 2022 it should fit the 2023. W205 m177 ?
cold air intakes wouldn’t null my warranty right? I also want to do a tune not sure the best one.
my first post, see you guys on the road
