What's wrong with the OE pads? They provide what you are looking for. If you want an upgrade, then upgrade your rotors to full floating rotors for more consistent braking.

EBC red if street only. EBC yellow stuff or hawk ceramic/5.0 for aggressive street and auto X.
ATE super is the fluid I run., I buy from FCP euro since I can lifetime ware the pads and rotors. When these new disks wear I’m going brembo 2 part.

I did the mistake of using Hawk 5.0's at the track... after the second hot lap they felt like butter. Using carbotech xp12's in the rear and xp20's in the front with brembo 2 piece rotors now.

I changed out my OEM pads on my 21 FL because the squealing was outrageous. I only had 18k miles on it when it would squeal at every stop sign. Swapped out with Portersfield front and rear.. Never heard a damn squeal again. And bite is decent.

Trading into ceramic you will have less pedal modulation which is a good thing since most people appreciate a firm pedal you don't have baby, less dust, no noise through the entire life of the pad down to the backing plate. You won't stop "harder", but operationally they are better pads for you. The first stop you might have to pedal it a little harder on the AMG's to get heat in them, but it's not noticeable unless you're flying into a stop from 60+.
If you're trying to stop even harder, you'd go to an even more aggressive pad which has harder bite at higher tempuratures than you're currently driving at. Hawk DTC, Blue, etc. The drive much worse at street temps when they have a chance to cool down between stops, super noisy and you won't get full brake functionality until about 3 stops, and once they get cold again it's not great. The stock pad compound for Mercedes is not even the same conversation as what you'd find on a normal car, Mercedes sedans and coupes have been capable of comparable braking distances to 911's for a while now.
My recommendation is to switch to Brembo NAO Ceramic. Also I wouldn't only change pads. The OEM TRW pad leaves grooves on the rotor which match the pad so they're pretty much paired. You won't get a consistent mating surface and you'll reduce the effectiveness and longevity of new parts. When shopping for rotors those Brembo 2-piece rotors look awesome, or you can go VNE for OEM. I've used both they're within $50 of each other.

I had them on the 335i along with their rotors and I was very impressed. You can really lay into em too and they won't care.

Hawk 5.0 being a street and auto cross pad, I’m not at all surprised. Some pads can handle the double duty. That pad does it’s primary 2 well and that’s it lol.

those are great, people love them and they're pretty much Hawk HPS performance for way way less money. I do like that the kit forces people to replace their brake hardware and sensors too.

I've never seen issues from not doing it, same with reusing the sensor if it physically still works. But it all goes through a large number of heat cycles. The factory Mercedes ones are a bit brutal but if I can substitute with Centric, Raybestos, Powerstop, Carlson, Dorman, in a pinch I'll throw it on the tab whether the customer wants it or not. Cleanliness is godliness. Clean work is kind of a hallmark of dealer-level service. and I go through a case of Brakekleen every month for it. Silicone spray beauty covers, cleaning out threads, I DON'T actually use antiseize on the hub because MB said the tolerances change and you can warp the hub with superheated grease, I don't use a picklefork/ball joint separator when it can be avoided, the tiniest things let me sleep at night. Some shops don't even clean down your oil leakage after doing the repair to fix it and I hate that.

my time won’t kill me.
I do agree this would be the mark of a quality shop and dealer. But as we all know, they love to cut corners and go fast to get the next job in.

2020 C63S Coupe & 2018 Macan Turbo
I don’t track my cars. I fly to Vegas and race other people’s cars around a track in excess of 150mph (Exotic Racing). It breaks? Tough. Not my car.
I drive quickly. That said I have used EBC Red Stuff on two previous AMG C63’s, a Ford GT500 rated at 650hp at the flywheel, a 2006 M3 and currently on my 2020FL coupe. On the Macan Turbo I run Yellow Stuff with upgraded Teflon coated SS brake lines from Goodridge and fresh fluid.
I have three qualifiers for pads: must stop good cold, NO noise and minimal dust. I’m happy with the pads I’m running now.

interesting experience. I utilize the z26 in the front and z23 in the rear. i don't notice any difference in performance when street driving compared to OE pads. I love that they produce way less dust than the OE pads though.
