Question Converting CCB to steels

Hey all - wondering if anyone has decided to transfer from their Factory CCBs over to a set of steels instead? I'm thinking of making the swap and was wondering what my options are, how much it would cost, and how much I could get by selling my old set of CCBs. Pulling it from my 2018 w/16k miles with no issues. Really just want to swap out because I don't track the car at all and sometimes the CCBs are too harsh. Thanks for your input

GiroDisc makes direct conversion rotors that have the same diameter as the CCB rotors, so you don't have to replace calipers and mounts. You do need smaller pads as explained in the description, because the ring annulus is smaller in order to save weight given the larger overall diameter. The stock S iron rotors are 390 mm for comparison.

However, I'm not sure this addresses your issue. The CCBs don't really have higher stopping power, they are just more heat resistant and lighter. Stopping power is a function of the rotor diameter as torque = force * distance, and these replacement rotors still have the same diameter. You probably have a little less stopping power due to the smaller pads you'll have to use, so less friction surface, but you still have 6-piston calipers that clamp down with the same force as before.

FWIW, I found the stock iron rotors a bit grabby and I replaced those with the Brembo full floating 390 mm rotors and they are now much more linear and easier to modulate. These GiroDisc rotors are also full floating, so that does improve braking feel and consistency. The stock iron rotors are only semi floating. I'm not entirely sure if the CCB rotors are full or semi floating. It's kinda hard to tell if they have springs.

Here are the different stock brakes for comparison:
