The extra deep socket worked!
any tips for putting the coil packs on easily? Dielectric grease around the spark plug housing?

Does your socket hold the new spark plugs that you have firmly? Sorry I misspoke. My socket is a 9/16 that I got from AutoZone, the power torque brand.

I have a magnet so i don't care of it grips to pull the plugs out. The other sockets wouldn't engage the plugs.

Yeah, earlier I received an extra deep thin wall 14mm. I tried it on 1 plug and it worked so I assume I'm good.
I'll do the rest tonight. My thin magnet will retrieve the loose plugs from their homes.

Only did the passenger side thus far. Boy that rear coil pack was a party! These were the plugs...Surely needed new plugs!

Here are the other 4. The 1st one was from.cylinder #7, the one that is kept getting a misfire at. I also replaced the coil pack for cylinder #7-8.
I indexed all of the plugs as well.

The passenger side was 1,000 times harder than the driver's side. Once I gave in and loosened the fuel line for the #7-8 coil pack, the drivers side was actually fairly easy as far as this total job goes....still MUCH more difficult than any of the other cars I've done plug changes for, which totals about 10.

Glad that the new socket could solve your issue. The rear coil packs are really difficult to do. Our spark plugs look quite different. This is what mine looked like:
