Heated armrest

Hi All,

just got a C63s coupe, would like to know if I have got heated armrest or not. They don’t warm up when I turn on my heated seats and in the menu I can’t find anything under settings/panel

if someone can check my VIN for me and send me all the options it has I would appreciate it.

additionally, I feel like I don’t have stock side skirts, they kinda look like the edition 1. If someone can confirm that also.
pictures attached:

Yes, that's the Edition 1 side skirts and front lip as well.
The arm rest does not heat up. There are no electrical wiring or ducts that go into it.

Congrats on the car. That's a FL with optional factory aerodynamic kit as said above. Best looking version of the coupe, IMHO. The PFL Edition 1 is similar to the FL aero kit, but not the same. The aero kit includes front splitter, wider side skirts, devil horn rear spoiler, diffuser splitter and the flics on the side of the fake wheel well vents.

Thank you all for confirming.

little disappointed not having the heated armrest but I’m not driving it in the winter so no harm.

i have ordered and received the mode carbon boot lid style rear spoiler but I am on the fence now that it might look too aggressive paired with factory rear diffuser splitter in cf

None of our cars came with a heated armrest option.

Just keep the car as it is, ditch the mode carbon spoiler man.

I don't know what the mode carbon spoiler looks like, but if you just want carbon fiber, the areo package rear spoiler also comes in carbon from the factory if the car was optioned with the exterior carbon packages. I have them on my coupe. The diffuser and the spoiler are carbon fiber, along with the A-wing and the mirror housings. The parts are not cheap if you buy them for retrofit, but it's an option.

Don't throw the old spoiler away

Nope heated armrests weren't a factory option at all for our cars.

If you're happy with your new wing that's good but to be honest the mode carbon one is way too blocky looking. The original aerodynamic-pack wing it came with looks much better plus it's a genuine part even if you've just got the non cf one.

They also did a lot of wind tunnel testing with the factory aero kit and the "odd shape" of the rear spoiler was a result from many hours of testing because it was proved to keep the car much more planted on takeoff and over crests etc.

Hold onto your old wing 👍

thanks for the input.

im going to try it on and see if I dig it or not for a bit. Can always go back to my old wing. Just some double sided tape.

Right. How are you finding your car so far? What do you like about it and dislike? Apart from no heated armrests 🙂

havnt put much km on it as I’m in Canada and it’s being winter stored but so far, love the power/sound, gas/tires will be super fun in the summer 🙂. It’s really hard to drive it “normal” 😂

its on the harsher side for ride comfort (even in comfort mode) but not something crazy to make me not like the car.

i would say my biggiest pet peeve is that it likes to start from second gear in comfort mode and it doesn’t really give off a “comfort” feel as it feels like there is nothing there on the gas pedal then all a sudden a jerk a lil as I have to push down more. (Could be me not used to driving it yet)

and I also feel like something as simple as wireless CarPlay should have been adopted LONG ago, there’s no reason a Jetta comes with wireless CarPlay and a car this price does not.

The 9 speed in the FL doesn't start in 2nd gear in any mode. It always starts in 1st from a full stop. This was one of the changes AMG made. The 7 speed starts in 2nd when in Comfort and it made that mode essentially useless except for grandmas.

If you do a rolling or California stop then it stays in 2nd in all modes, but if you come to a full stop it shifts to first. Mine did take a few 1000 miles, though to adapt properly. It used to shift down to first while still moving and that was jerky. Now it stays in 2nd and once the car has come to a full stop it goes to 1st.

Yeah, most aftermarket spoilers etc. are just for show. They may even worsen the aerodynamics of the car. I doubt any of them were ever tested in a wind tunnel like the AMG aero kit.

Hey Swiss with the 9 speed never starting in 2nd gear, does the 9 speed's equivalent to Comfort mode act like the way the prefacelift's 7 speed Sport mode did? As in it will stay in 2nd gear until you come to a stop then it shifts into 1st?

Yes, that's what mine does, but the 2nd gear of the 9 speed is also noticeably shorter than the 2nd gear of the 7 speed, so that makes a big difference, too. The first seven gears of the 9 speed are shorter than the whole 7 gears of the old transmission.

Gotcha thanks for the explanation brother.
