Hi everyone, this is my first post. As many of you know, the AMG Center Cap Removal Tools available on the market leave much room for improvement. Being someone who does all of their own maintenance, I find myself at the mercy of this tool more often than not. This past weekend I finally decided I’d had enough and modified my removal tool to help avoid scratching the center caps and eliminate the possibility of rounding out the plastic nut on top.
The simple solution I came up with: Coat the tool with rubberized Flex Seal Spray to help avoid scratching the covers and to eliminate the chance of rounding out the plastic nut on top by using JB Weld to attach an unused socket in its place. I am extremely happy with the results so far, but I would love to hear yalls thoughts.
