Cost to Install Downpipes
I just picked up a set of catted Red Star downpipes for my W205 C63 coupe and was quoted $1,200.00 to install them via the cutting method, and $1,700.00 to drop the transmission. I am in the South Florida area (Miami) and am wondering what other people have been charged for this job. These prices seem very steep, but I don't know if that it just the new norm. Any insight is appreciated.

Jesus H, I was about to post a thread about what downpipe to go with. Need to spend some of this tax return money.
That seems really steep- I read a couple other threads that said if you go with the cut method- it's like 2 hours of labor - so figure 4-500$?
Anyhow- I won't post a new thread. But can anyone advise on Modalworks vs CTS turbo catted pipes?
Can't bring myself to spend 3K on RedStar and then another possible 1K on install. Ugh.

I've got the catted Modal Works pipes and they sound good, noticeable increase when flaps are open. Sounds stock when the flaps are closed. I got them ceramic coated at a shop before installation. CTS look like they have heat shielding on theirs which may be better at controlling heat.
