i have c63s amg coupe, 12/2019 On my steering wheel the round button for comfort/sport/sport+ mode is not working at all and also the left button for exhaust valve … i had my car detailing cleaned…maybe some liquid went in the electrition? and also my battery 12V is partially charged..can this be the reason maybe?
That looks like the AMG Drive Unit control module died. Has happened even on brand new cars for some and they needed the module to be replaced. The 12V battery partially charged is not unusual. Mine is in that state most of the time, unless I hook it up to my battery tender. However, I think my battery is on its last leg at his point. My car is a 2019 as well and AGM batteries are pretty much done after 4-5 years. My instrument cluster has started to have some gremlins and I suspect it's the battery. I don't drive my car a lot and especially during the pandemic the battery probably sat too long at a low charge level. I have two battery tenders and my older one had started to indicate a battery fault a couple of years ago. Bought a new one that has a repair mode and it charges the battery w/o error, but I think the battery is probably bad. I've got my regular service scheduled for January and also have an appointment shortly after at my indy to figure out what the clicking noise is about in the front axle during parking lot maneuvers and I'm planning on having them install a new battery at the same time before I troubleshoot the instrument cluster issues any further.

I had the clicking before, we both have the same wheels. I recall seeing a TIPS document regarding this noise saying that the only way to fix it was to sand a part of the wheel/hub and I believe this sound only happens with our optioned wheels in particular. Mine was fixed by replacement of the front wheel bearings, funny enough though the document said to NOT replace the wheel bearings for this issue and that warranty will not pay the dealer if they misdiagnose it as wheel bearings. That's interesting and thanks for this. It's starting to add up. I actually had the car in to the dealership earlier and I don't know if they were looking at the same document you mention, but they found an LI that said to clean the wheels and hub. They wanted to charge me $500 to do that, but I passed because it sounded made up to me at the time. They found another LI that called for replacing the steering rack, but based on the symptoms I'm fairly sure it's not the steering rack. That it comes from the wheels actually makes sense, because the clicking moved from the right front wheel to the left after I had new brakes put on. I thought at first I was imagining it, but now I'm pretty sure. I was gonna take the wheels off myself and see if I can do any cleaning. Will do that before my appointment in January, otherwise I'll explain this to my indy and see if they can get rid of it. It makes me feel better to not worry about it. I've been kinda avoiding driving the car in fear it was a bigger issue.
Mine went out on the left side a while ago, the buttons still work and the screen still light up but just no graphics. I think I will try to clean the connectors to see if that fixes it, if not I will take it in before the warranty is up.
