hard downshifts 4 -> 3 in S, S+

hard downshifts 4 -> 3 in S, S+
went for a spirited drive the other day, and noticing the car has some hard 4 -> 3 downshifts when in S, S+ and in Auto mode.....based on what im reading, im getting the feeling this might be normal. the downshifts arent that hard in C, or if I am in S,S+ and downshifting manually.

car has 28k miles, ive owned it for a week, had a clean PPI

Give it some time, might have the previous owners' adaptation/driving style.

Mine hard shift from 2nd to 1st when in S+ auto mode after crappy eurocharged tune. Do you have a tune on it?

thats fair, i wonder how the hell the previous owner drove it such that this is what it learned lol
ill do a transmission reset today too, start from fresh

did the reset and the transmission shifts so much better, like butter!
too bad i reset it, went for a drive and got stuck in rush hour traffic.

Oh well. Got to reset again when out of that so it doesn't learn those weird traffic shifts.

Did you reset the adaptions through XENTRY or through another method?

Did it through the sequence of powering the car on/off and pressing holding and releasing the gas pedal. took 5 min total, but can take as little as 3

I see, that is one way to do it different to what the procedure is in XENTRY, I mean at the end of the day glad what you did helped as well! The process/method is not as important, the end results is.
