Ah a superseded part is available? Hoping the facelift one is at least more robust? Anyone verified if the facelift one can fit the pre-facelift one in anyway?

Were there certain environmental factors that we are aware of that cause theses to fail quicker other than factory design flaw/defect?

For example, humidity, extreme cold or extreme hot but doesn't MB test these things prior to production?

its my daily car,
i drive about 20-25miles to work, it take about 30min driving, my water temp level is always i slot higher from middle,

had low coolant warning, at first there was no leak.
leak from passenger side randomly.
went to mechanic and replaced radiator on passenger side,
my friends made fun of me after i said this but after that i felt improvement on performance.
low coolant warning again about 3days later,
they topped up coolant and told me to make sure leaking because they've done pressure test.

this symptom appeared twice, one before about 2000 miles ago,
im just little surprised that the car was running completely normal all the time expect fan running after like 5min. of driving all the time,
but as i search, it seems like its normal but annoying.

that's my whole story,

i really thought it's just sensor issue.

Looks wild but it's really just front bar off, middle aux cooler, radiator, fan, and once the intercoolers are off you've got access 25 torx size

I am wondering if it got loose after they worked on the thermostat, are you getting no sensors activity at all or a loud beep with red dots?

I know this might sound obvious but is the Parktronic off button turned to on with the led light showing it on by chance?

As in if that light is on, the system is off.

if you are talking about “P” with 3 lines with “OFF” , its on, and even if i press it or press and hold, tiny red light stays on,

when i put gear in to D, it animates red dots all around beep, parking sensor not functioning but it detached cars coming. so confusing lol

Yes, that light shouldn't be on.

Yup, you answered my question, I was asking if there were red dots, that beep is what we were talking about, it indicates sensor fault. The system disables all sensors and the entire system if it detects a sensor fault, you will need a scanner to determine which sensor is the issue and check WIS to see which number sensor indicates which sensor. Just get the dealership to fix it at this point.

Reason why I know it is sensor fault is because I literally have that issue before with PARKTRONIC, turns out, in my case at least, moisture corroded the pins of the harness to my front sensors. Hopefully yours is just a loose cable. I had to use XENTRY (I assume a good scanner can tell as well) to know what number sensor is causing the issue, then I need to use WIS to check which number sensor is which and located where. The stored code only mention the sensor number not where it is.

Reason why I think in your case is a loose cable is because they just did work on it : ), meaning they might had made something become loose, the likelihood of things corroding is much less.

Ya, even more likely a loose cable now, maybe the work they done made something loose or they had to unplug the sensors and didn't fully latch so when you start driving it, the bumps on the road, the stiff suspension or even potholes was the final trigger to make the cable fall off and disconnected the sensor.
