going to take it in tomorrow though. if it is the clutch packs, do you know where i can get replacements?

Car cutting power completely for a split second
i have a 2017 C63s with 50k miles and i’m having an issue where the first 10 or 15 minutes of driving randomly under slight acceleration the car will hesitate and cut power completely for a split second. rpms drop all the way down then the car comes back it’s almost like it’s losing traction but isn’t but it feels exactly like it though. i can see the gear indicator on my dash disappear for a second aswell when it happens. i can’t tell if it’s a tranny issue, misfire, or?
the car is stage 3 upgraded turbos, ecu tune, and possible tranny tune but am not sure. i got the car around a couple months ago. tranny flush, spark plugs and all of that were done around 7-8k miles ago give or take.

Well, first thing to do is scan it and see if there are any faults being logged and take it from there. Your second paragraph pretty much says it all. With a tune, everything is out the window. Fouled spark plugs for example is a common issue with tunes. Once you have a better idea of the faults, then you can take it up with whoever tuned the car, or you can post the fault codes here and we may have some better suggestions for you at that point, but w/o a scan and fault codes it's all just guessing.

forsure. im doing the plugs tomorrow and see if that helps if not then will go and get it scanned. i called the tuner of the car but they said they couldn’t do anything since im in cali and they’re dallas based.

You got a transmission issue. It's having issues with the clutch pressure control solenoid for the startup clutch. That explains the symptoms. Basically the clutch isn't holding and disengages. Could be the solenoid, could be the wiring or the transmission itself is failing. Not all that surprising. The clutch can go out on tuned cars. Previous owner probably launched the crap out of it, too.

Yep, that's what I was expecting. The dealership will just replace the entire valve body. If you take it to a transmission shop they may be able to rebuild the valve body after taking it apart and cleaning it thoroughly and replacing the bad solenoid and any other potentially bad parts. But you may want to replace the clutch pack, too. Chances are that the wear and tear from the tune puts you close to needing a new one anyway.
