Hey all, I'm back again with another question about this car that I don't quite understand so I'm hoping I can find an answer to put my mind at ease. So every now and again I go on a spirited drive through the canyons and rarely I get a wide enough area to let the car stretch it's legs. I'm noticed while doing this after about 4500-5000 rpm at WOT the boost falls off and the car reads as a max of 350 hp on the AMG performance gauge on my dash. I've scanned the car while running and I'll include the photo of my codes in this post. The car is stock other than secondary cat delete and I'm soon to tune it so I would like as little as problems as possible when the time comes. I'm assuming just reading the message it's something to do with a pressure sensor but I can't find a diagram or location of it. The sensors on the intakes at the top of the engine have been replaced with no fix to this issue. Thanks for the help in advance.
I had a similar issue after installing a catback exhaust and having no check engine light. The problem is undoubtedly a soft limp mode the car has put itself into to avoid damaging any parts. The dealer checked my car several times and had no clue what was causing it. It is NOT a boost leak like some may suggest. I had my ECU tuned and the limp mode code removed, which instantly fixed it. I suggest you take your car to a tuner and see if they can have a go at fixing it.
