Which engine oil do you use ?
In my country the recommended engine oil
from MB is 0W/40 or 5W/40 with MB 229.5 decontrol for M177 engine.
Is this in your country also ?

How often do you make oil change ?

Also from Germany. I use Petronas Syntium 7000 E 0W-40, which is the same as the AMG branded oil, but without the logo. I have also considered Ravenol. It is also recommended a lot by the community.
I would change the oil every year or every 10.000 km. But as I only drive about 6.000 km per year, the yearly interval comes first.

In my mind Race Track max. 5.000 km and street use max. 10.000 km.
There are some good oil brands on market and ravenol i take into consideration too
but i am no engine oil engineer.

I didn't go with Ravenoil because I prefer AMG OEM and know that Fuchs is a very good company.
Have a clear strategy and don't dwell on things that can't be answered in detail
and are probably irrelevant in the end.
That thinking about differend good oil brands is sucking brain not more in my mind.
AMG High Performance MB 229.5 0W-40 for M177.

0w-20 for my CLE 53 - Allison. Allison is very young, about 4 weeks old. Oil was changed at 500 miles and then I plan to change again at about 2000, and then again at 5000. After that every 5000.
I would prefer to use 0-40w because I think the 0w-20 is to thin for a turbo engine and the only reason MB says to use that spec is because of fuel economy pressure. However, it do not wish to void my warranty.
Open to thoughts.
