The key is worthless other than to someone wanting an empty case. It's not worth $1.00 let alone $100.

It really doesn't matter if it is a complete key. The key has little or no value as the key has to be married to the EIS, a job that only Mercedes can do but won't do.
The best thing you can do is contact the person who bought your car last year and offer it to him. If the key is in working condition it would be worthwhile to him. His alternative is a new key from Mercedes at a cost of at least $250.
