Great stash as always, JR. I find it ironic that Cuba is now producing edicion limitadas!

Loving the Cohiba's Jon. I am due for some cigars as I have not had much time for one recently. I may just do a Padron or T52 Liga Privada this evening.

Been a while since I've smoked an H. Upmann... Either my tastes have matured, or they weren't as good as I remembered them. The one I smoked was a cedar-wrapped perfecto, Vintage Cameroon.

Notes of hay (not ) and obviously, cedar.

Not bad for $5.

Poker and Cigars last night

Any smokers?-padron.bmpMade a nice little trip for some poker and cigars with some friends and family in Western, NY. Long line to enter the poker room so I had some time to kill with some cigars, drinks and Keno.Any smokers?-lotano-xxx.bmp

Had a wonderful Padron late at night after play before bed. Enjoyed a San Lotano while playing Keno waiting to get called in for the buy in. I ended up playing $20 on those slot machines as well. First time in years since I played one and the lady sitting behind me wins $29,000 Unreal! Figured it was an omen for me to win at poker but no luck there as well. I ended up stoping at the Casino Cigar store before I left this morning and picked up some Romeo's, Ashton VSG and a Rockey Patel Maduro Java. Any info on these? I took the dive because they are rated good

Kreuz, H Upmann made a line of smokes that was rather limited in release, Signature Selection, or something like that. Came in a black box. Absolutely stellar smoke, if you can find them. I had a couple boxes of the, "Double Eagle", which was a classic perfecto-shape.

I'd agree with you, the run-of-the-mill H Upmann's are not too sophisticated for an experienced palate.

Have not enjoyed any cigars this week as it has been very busy. I had 2 last week. I have been searching the sites for some new sample stuff to broaden my horizon too. I downloaded a app on the Apple store called "Cigar Boss". It allows you to keep track of all your favorite cigars. I ended up making a wonderful list on it last night.

Been out of the loop for a bit...baby came early and my wife and I are on a 2-3hr feed/burp/diaper change cycle...BUT this is the best thing I've ever experienced and wouldn't change anything.

I did get a chance to smoke a couple cigars last Saturday...baby came Sunday...then tried to play golf yesterday. I was successful in smoking a couple of cigars but my game did not show up... Other than that life is good...I did order some 10yr aged 1964 and 1926 Padrons and an additional custom humidor...pics to come when they come in.

Yesterday...

Last Saturday...

Thanks again guys...fatherhood is a blessing!

These came in yesterday...an online distributor local to me bought out a cigar shops old stocked humidor that has been closed for over 7yrs...except for the Double Coronas the other boxes were sealed and still in plastic covering. I bought the Padrons just as a favor to him since aging them isn't all that important with them..but the Opus will be downright righteous at over 7 yrs old.

31 Opus X Double Coronas

Padron No. 2 Natural

3 Padron 1964 Sampler box

2 Padron 1926 Sampler box

Jon, congrats to you and the wife on the new addition! Couldn't be happier for you, bro! Is this your first?!?!

Bill, welcome back! Got any good stories to share??? Better yet, how 'bout some pics?!?!

Guys, we are kicking off our concert season Memorial Day weekend. Not sure what type of music you enjoy, but we have Trace Adkins & Aaron Lewis, Tim McGraw w/Brantley Gilbert, Lynyrd Skynyrd w/Hinder and Journey lined up so far this summer. Lemme know if you make it out to this part of the country (sw MO).

Bill...welcome back safe. Those Colombian woman are crazy!!!

Finally getting the feeding and diaper changing cycle down and actually felt ok this morning for golf...I actually started to get the weight shift going in the swing. Last week I felt like I was blocking everything...77 and a couple of great cigars.

Tabak Especial Cafe Con Leche...great start...smooth and tasty.

2002 La Gloria Cubana Médaille d Or No.4...initial draw was too tight but after the first 1/3 it loosened up...very enjoyable and mild.

2004 Punch Petit Corona Del Punch...WHAT A FANTASTIC VINTAGE CIGAR!

Liga Privada Feral...What a way to end the round! Hard to get so when Jim@FuegoCigars called me and said he had 5 boxes...hell yes...come to poppa!!!

Later tonight @ an impromptu grilling session...2003 Opus X Perfexcion No. 2 (pics to follow)...

Greatly appreciated!!! I will be taking you up on that offer next time I am down there. I was going to have you come down to my place but it may be easier if I come to you with the new baby and all. After all I am on vacation so I am 100% flexable. Cigars look great as always!

Not of legal age to smoke anything. Probably will never smoke, but I find cigars to be really interesting and tobacco in general an important part of the American story and the world community in general. Hate "smoking nannies" though especially the stigma that exists against cigarette smokers, frankly they aren't stupid people and should be allowed to exercise their freedom over their own bodies regardless. Anti-tobacco and tobacco lobbyists alike are the same ***** to put it bluntly neither side is good news, but anti-tobacco laws and outrageous taxes are just the beginning of perpetual government abuses...

Moving this thread along a little bit, out of curiosity, what are your smoking backgrounds and when did you all discover the pass time?

My first cigar experience was an attempt to look like a sophisticated badazz at the ripe old age of 18... I ended up puking in a gutter because I unknowingly smoked a double-toro maduro. Waayyyy too much cigar for a newb.

I tried it again a year later, with a milder smoke. Enjoyed it. Quickly discovered that they calmed me down a bit, and it was better than liquor because I could drive after the fact. I was on-again/off-again with 'em for a while, but after I turned 25 I started smoking 1-2 a week. Been doing that ever since.

I have a few extras I need to add to this thread, I simply have been lazy with the updates.
