2003 CL500 Engine Overheating?
I have 03 CL500, there is no error message regarding low coolant, however under moderate accelerate when the engine is fully warmed up, or when I am in stop and go traffic, the coolant guage flucuates from 82C to 98C, then it comes back down when I go easy, does this sound normal?

This fluctuation happens in every car, but in many other makes like BMW or Audi the temperature guage is dampened and electronically set to show say 90 degrees even when the engine is 10 or 15 degrees above or below that to not alarm the driver. So in the end, your CL is telling you exactly what is going on, the other cars don't.
