Renntech group purchase 00-02 CL600
Hey guys if anyone is interested in a Renntech ECU upgrade for your 00-02 CL600 please contact me. I am looking to do a group purchase and have worked out a special price.
This upgrade adds a solid 30 HP at the rear wheels and makes the car much more responsive. Price will be in the mid-high 2K range.

Listed is 25 HP and 30 Lbs torque at the rear wheels. They say they have dynoed several cars closer to 30HP at the rear wheels, or about 36HP at the flywheel, and I trust them on that figure. More importantly, the power curve is changed so the power comes on faster and the band is wider, peak HP numbers rarely tell the whole story.
Vendetta and I are both dyno'ing the cars before and after the upgrade to get good accurate #'s. I will post afterwards. I will also take a few runs with my G-tech and see if the #'s improve on acceleration.

for the dynojet, gotta find the tach pickup terminal from ECU.
for GTech Pro, I was able to get pretty good readings off the cigar lighter plug.
How much is the Dyno guy charging? How many pulls?

I'm going to a froend's shop tonight. Let me see if I can get it from his online subscription.
If it's OK, can you share dyno guy's contact info? I've been put in charge of organizing a dyno-day for my Mini club (all classics, not BMW). That $100 for 2 pulls is pretty reasonable. I'll have 6-10 cars and maybe get a deal. maybe we can do the Benzes then too and get a break. Is it the guy in Deer Park?

The Dyno guy is in Deer Park, but there's more than one there (LOTS of performance guys nearby catering to the kids that "cruise" Rt. 231, heh...). Anyway, talk to JOE the owner at Mustang Magic. 631-254-3430. Tell him Law, the guy with the CL600 sent ya - he'll give you a 25% discount for the whole group. Let me know when you'll be there and I'll swing through!
Ciao,
