I am looking for a book (Online would be preferred but beggers cant be choosers i guess) where i can find out where the relays are that control the rear windows and also what fuse number governs what and which fuse box its located in. I used to have a haynes book for my old BMW that was the deal for anything I wanted to know but they dont have any for a CL/S-Class Mercedes 2002. If any one can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated as I have spent a quite bit of money subscribing to online repair manual that dont have really any info other than specifications and diagrams.

No, but that one looks like its what I need! Looks pretty intense and will probably save me more than the 95 bucks it costs.

 

At the advice of my local MB parts counter, I called MB a couple of weeks ago and they tell me nothing is yet available for an '02 CL500, although they are working on it. I'm very much interested in such info and am wondering if anyone has this CD and what their opinion is of it. If you can use it just once, it will pay for itself many times over.

 

I am gonna take the plunge and get it, wish me luck, I will keep you guys informed on if its worth it

Just got it, I cant belive what garbage this CD-Rom is. I would not recomend anyone spending the 95 bucks. I just want a simple what fuse # and relay # is for the power windows to replace them, I have checked every fuse and all seem good but relays are a different story , so if anyone can help me find a list which should be out there of fuses and relays.

Sorry to hear that. I heard is was helpful and a good "all rounder" for performing simple tasks. It also included videos I believe. I'm sure it'll come in handy someday.

 

Real sorry to hear that it's garbage. But I guess I'm not thourghly surprised as I have been disapointed with all facets of MB since I've been involved with them following my purchase of my '02 CL a year ago last Feb. However, I have talked to my local MB service mgr. who told me he would look at the CL CD MB sends them and let me know about it's quality. If it is any good, I'm going to see if I can get it from him. I'll keep you guys posted.

 

It it very very simple tasks such as taking molding off and front door panels, but not rear panels or seats or anything, The videos are kind of cool but are for the more simple tasks.

 

I spoke with my svc. mgr. again and he said he was mistaken as the CL CD is not available yet. He also said that MB doesn't produce a CD until a particular model is finished production. For the CL, that would be this year. In the meantime, anyone needing info can go to
