What type of engineer are you? I'd love to be an engineer! Engineers are the brains behind basically everything. Much respect to you Z-Dude. My father is an architect with a PhD from Oxford. My mother is an Ob/Gyn doctor with a Master's in medicine from the same school. My uncle, who passed away at an early age, was a scientist in NASA's rocket science division. Basically what I'm getting at is that my family is all about engineering and medicine. I am amazed at how much people can accomplish when they work hard. I wish that I too took the professional route in becoming a lawyer, doctor or engineer. College was a great experience and I don't regret a thing. But sometimes I feel as though I haven't done myself justice in terms of what I can accomplish...not financially, rather in the sense of self fulfillment.

This is a bit off topic..and if I start to annoy anyone, please let me know....but thanks for asking JamE55. When I say self fulfillment I mean in the sense that I'm doing more than just having a good livelihood...I wish I could do something with my life that has a direct positive effect on people...such as our engineering friend "Z". I don't know, i guess i look back and regret that I didn't take the necessary steps to become a doctor, lawyer, engineer...but then again I also realize that my work lets me do things that I would otherwise never have the opportunity to do.

Smart statement..."You gotta know when to hold them, know when to fold them..."

STEVO:
In answer to your previous question, in my previous life, I designed large infrastucture projects (civil engineer). Now, I manage the projects Mainly, I get to kick old ladies out of homes that they have lived in for years to put in new federally funded projects - highways, light rail and airports

On a serious note, there is satisfaction at seeing a project through, doing things that most people don't think that you will be able to complete. Most of the time, the people want the project badly, but not in their backyard...

There is a great feeling in seeing a piece of property turn into a final project 10 years later

You just can't buy a CL 600 with our salaries...

Also, thanks for the respect to engineers. When I lived in Europe years ago, engineers were reveared. In the US, most people think of engineers as "dweebs"

Thumbs up Nice pics!

I like the CL the most. Looks good in black with AMG rims. Plus you took a good shot of it outside amongst the BMWs and E!
