how do you remove the headlight?

do you need to remove the front bumper to get the headlight out? if so, does anyone know the location of bolts/screws? need to update the headlight to the clear ones. the headlights are interchangable in all years right?

Actually, you don't need to pull the bumper completely off. Here is a link to an article that helped me loosen the bumper enough to pull the headlights off (yea, I know it's for a w211, but it's the same for the w215; and no, you don't have to follow all the steps, just look at the picture and you should be able to figure it out):

Glad I could help, but I can't help you with this question because I only pulled the headlight off to clean the inside lense as it was fogged up a bit.

Sorry, I don't remember if there were screws holding the lense onto the headlight or not (maybe someone on this board can chime in). I do remember that it is sealed, and I had to reseal it with silicon.
