Got a few new toys

Oh and I got software for the CL600 TT. I was told to go Dyno the car myself to get numbers. I have not gotten the chance to do that yet, but if there was 1 word i can use to describe the feeling it would be, VIOLENT...

I have only drive 1 car faster than this, a 950HP Toyota Supra. The power delivery was very smooth and linear prior to the ECU upgrade. Once the revs hits about 2000, the car feels like it has rocket boosters. I burn the tires off the like and again when the car changes into 2nd at about 45MPH.. it feels like it has an endless amount of pull. Also, i was told that the car will hit about 190Mph with the current setting. Although it is not suggested unless you have the right tires. I dont think i will be crazy enough to try that.

thats really cool...i have a few questions....

1) what is the benefits of that steering wheel...it looks good but does it also help for driving?

2) what kind of ecu did you do? renntech? i wanted to do powerchip group but too many horror stories about actually losing power scared me out of it...let us know if the numbers are favorable...you already confirmed it feels faster\

the steering wheel itself is about 50% thicker than the stock wheel. I guess you can say that it aids your driving because it gives you better grip, which then gives you better control of the car, blah blah blah. I had an M5 before the CL so i am more used to a thicker, more contoured steering wheel.

I will post dyno Numbers once i get a chance to go to one.

Sweet!

Nice new toys Giggalo. What was your top speed? What ECU did you install? Renntech? Does anyone have experience with the Renntech ECU in a naturally aspirated (not twin turbo) CL600? I am hoping to do this upgrade. Are there any other software upgrade supliers that I should check?

Thanks.

M6 Gran Coupe
That's one of those ergonimically correct steering wheels. I think all AMG's have those...at least the CL and SL ones do.

just dynoed the car

with the ecu, exhaust and k&n, the car put down 491.06hp to the wheels. I was told by the tech that in an automatic car, a 20% driveshaft loss was not abnormal. couldnt post the torque numbers because we couldnt figure out how to wire up the ignition.

Next up.....downpipes BIGGER turbos and intercoolers.
