ANY IDEAS: Creaking suspension
I would be very grateful for any suggestions on the following "creaky suspension" issue:
1./ When driving the car at slow speeds, e.g. 10mph-20mph, you can hear a quiet creaking sound from the suspension when going over small bumps or changes in road camber. Maybe creaking is the wrong word; perhaps "quiet bump" or "rumble" is a better description of the sound. It is intermittant, perhaps 1 rumble every 2 or 3 seconds or so, depending on the road. Here is my tape-recording of the noise:
2./ The noise is quiet enough that it cannot be heard over the radio, even at low volumes. Nonetheless, if the radio is off, the noise is there. Both bothersome and also worrysome if this indicates ABC or suspension issues.
3./ There is no suspension noise when getting in and out of the car, or pushing the car up and down over each wheel.
4./ It is not there, or inaudiable, at higher speeds.
Before I take it back to the dealer, I would really appreciate some impartial advice.
