CL600 blowing blue smoke

This is a pretty new car, '05 with less than 7000 miles. I had it from new and took extra good care to run it in properly. Now I get a cloud of blue smoke every time I leave it parked for 3-4 days. On the other hand, I made a 2500 mile trip recently and it didn't ask for any oil. This model has the stupid oil level sensor so you are never really sure exactly how much oil is gone in (or out). The dealer is of course pretending to be clueless. Has anybody experienced anything similar?

Thanks,
Alex

sounds like maybe its burning oil, or what ever in the combustion chamber?

Do you get it at start-up and it goes away after that? If so, you have got oil leaking past your valve stem seals. That is covered under warranty. It will only get worse with age.

Agree with BlownV8, classic leaky valve guide seals symptoms.

It appears they couldn't get it to smoke even after starting after 3 days. So I took it back but will watch it closely. I agree the most likely culprit is a small leak along the valve stem but expected this to be easily repeatable.
