Do you have a pic of the Capri Blue? I dont think Ive seen it before. Also, isn't too late to change the color? I thought it was 6 weeks before production date before you might face delays. Not sure, but I dont want you having to wait for your car any longer than you need to.

- To see Capri on an SL: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...threadid=16271

- Also, I believe that the SL advertised by Collectizone in the Oct '02 Dupont Registry on p. 214 is Capri Blue. Confirm with them to be sure -- maybe it's Orion? I remember Capri in person being darker.

- Or, go here and scroll to the C240 in Capri, albeit a sundown pic: http://www.verneide.com/f_new_invent...=Mercedes-Benz

Have seen Capri Blue in person on an SL500, not on a CL. It is a dark metallic royal / navy. Looked great -- different, sharp, and not flashy.

Capri Blue is an excellent dark color. What interior will you get? I like the Stone interior, but have Java on my 02 CL500 and the mats are quite dificult to keep clean, as are the seating surfaces. A-Train recommended charcoal or black mats with Stone piping, which I will get if I go with Stone on my 03 CL55.

Beautiful Color. I didnt even know it existed to be honest. Definitely go for it. As for the interior, I think something light would be a nice complement to the dark exterior, but if maintenance is an issue than go with Charcoal which would look excellent as well. Whatever you do, you cant go wrong with that color.

Yes, Capri with a light interior color is really nice. Charcoal would be a somewhat odd contrast with the blue. The Capri SL I mentioned was stone with dark wood and it looked really nice. I'd personally do it with light wood, but either way you're in good shape. And just get black mats (or even get them to match the Capri) and get stone piping. That'd be especially nice.

I'm debating switching from Silver to Capri but a few things make me take pause:

- easy to maintain Silver cleanliness
- unless the CL wheels are stunning, I'm going with aftermarket, probably MAE, and I don't want to look bling-blingy, which is more likely with a blue, albeit a dark one, than with a silver
- it might be too late for me to change. It's an Oct build and I don't want my build date to get pushed back
- there's a person around town with a stunning Silver CL, nice aftermarket wheels and exhaust -- and I've seen his car 2x in the last few days, which maybe is a sign for me to me to keep the Silver choice. His car looks really sweet.

Ordered Capri with charcoal/burlwood because my kids(5 and 8)
would destroy light interior.Light wood I just don't like.
Also ordered Sport pkge;according to dealer it includes"new" AMG wheels besides usual bodywork enhancements.

Nice Choice. Should come out looking very nice. Look forward to your pictures and a review of everything.

Personally, I gave in and went bland with my exterior/interior choices.

2003 CL55 Black on Ash, but im hoping to spice things up with a Lorinser Kit and Lorinser Rims.

Kids shold get to enjoy the car too. Although mine are all adults now, the only thing that I insisted on was that they wear their seatbelts.

No eating in my car is ever allowed but I'm concerned about seatbacks. My boys behave well but it's impossible to keep their shoes sterile in bad Chicago weather.
My wife is getting a new R.Rover in October,so they won't have to ride in my car that much.
