bought the wheels i wanted for my CL already (Iforged 2pc Sprint 20")

now i am debating on the color combo i want to do to the wheels, they are currently Black with a polished lip.

the debate is as follows, and please if anyone has any good Pic's worth lookin at, please post

A.) White Barrel with Black Center

B.) Black Barrel with a White Center(really wanna see this one)

or just paint the center White and leave the rest alone.



i searched, but just cant find B, found A.

I think option A would be the best looking, I'm just not so sure about white faced rims.

IMO, brushed aluminum would look hot.

Have fun and make sure YOU like your choice.

this is what it looked like on the CL55 i bought them from, and then AFTER i cleaned the hell outa them.








i cant stand a back wheel JUST because you cant see the design of the wheels, and if i painted the Barrel Black, then it would look like all i had was a white face wheel.

hey what size tires you running? I'm asking because a place I was getting wheels at recommened using 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rears. Tirerack recommends using 255/35 and 285/30. Do you think there is a difference or what would be better?

Put em on the way they are...I think the white would be overkill on your car. The black will add a menacing look to the car. If you do anything I would re-paint with a glossy candy black with a lot of clear coat to bring out the design of the wheels. with your tint and the carbon lip you have coming it will look HOT!

I also say stick with the black rims/polished lip. Put them on your car first and ride around with them like that for a few days and see how you like them. I have a feeling you'll like it, and I also agree that white rims would be a bit overkill on the white car. The black rims on the white car with the dark *** tint is gonna look sick, trust me.

When it is time for me to get new wheels I am going to go with a black rim/polished lip.

nah guys, cant do it, gotta go with the white. My dude and a Member Rosco did this chop for me, and he still has to do the same chop with opposite colors on the wheels but HE'S TAKIN TO LOOOOONG!!!!!! lol

Don't paint the roof man! You will kill the flow of the car. It's not a pano, it'll never be a pano, accept it...the wheels will look hot though.

come on Jay, RETHINK that, it would look great. its not because of the Pano roofs being glass, its because of how it sets that car with the look of a black roof. i have seen it done on Bimmers and Benz's alike, and i have never seen it look bad when it comes to cars like these.

this isn't my way of doing a CL55 badge on a 500 thing, not trying to pose, i just think its a very attractive look on a white car, even a silver

I agree with your comment on not painting the roof black. The CL doesnt have the the right lines and it would look funky.

I like the look. I did it on my wifes CLS and it came out great. Even thought of doing to the CL until I realized it doesnt have the right cut off lines and wouldnt look good.

thats why I'm not painting it, got a guy to do a Vinyl top for me instead of painting it. that way if i didn't like the look, i can just peel it off and clean it down.


NOW can i get your blessings lol


now, back on subject, anyone ever see a car with a white face and black lip wheel, pics please lol

Honestly, I think the pano look is great but like the guy said above, it just doesn't have the right roof line. You have the creases on either side running above the door but then it blends into the roof about a foot before the back window. If you were going to do it why not paint the ENTIRE roof including the pillars black? It'll give it a cockpit-type look.
And as far as white centers and black lips...you will compromise the look of the 20. I silver or contrasting lip color gives the impression of larger diameter. A black lip will blend with the tire and it will appear as though you have an 18 because the eye will be drawn to the white center only. If you gotta do white then go for it but keep the centers white, the lip polished, and the wheel screws around the lip black and the lug bolts black.

Those wheels look very nice on white car especially when it is that clean. I think white wheels will look cheezy and over kill.
