Average cost to repair CL per year?

How much you average per year on non maintenace repairs? Even warranty itmes would be nice to know. Please elaborate some

I am having a good year at only 140.00 for intercooler pump and I did the install for fun. One vanity sun visor, also cost about 149.00. Hearing a clunk while backing up and turing wheel in reverse, coming from drivers front tire,, so cost % may be rising by year end.

So far, I'm in for about $600 this year. Brake booster, MAF and Accelerator Pedal Module.

Funny you mentioned a clunk. I'm hearing the same thing. It's a pronounced sounding clunk that's noticed especially when windows are open. Imagine hitting two hollow metal pipes together having one in each hand. That’s the kind of sound I’m hearing. It only happens when backing up and applying the brake. I can repeatedly create the noise by backing up, stopping and backing up again so it’s somehow tied to the brakes. It is annoying but I don’t have a clue what it is or where to begin. It’s been like this for a while and when I did my brakes I didn’t see anything that stood out as abnormal. The noise is def coming from the rear of the car and sounds the same either left or right.

Hoping someone can chime in about this “clunk”.

so my cl 600 has been to the dealer 22 times in 9 months for everything from coil packs x5 to fuel pump x3. The car just keeps dying. I just put up with it because i love the car. All has been covered under warranty except for gas a few times and wiper blades. But I have learned to own one of these cars you need a few things, money, time (lots of it, my car has spent almost as much time at the dealer than with me) and a truly easy going personality.

This CL55 has been very good to me - knock on wood - I had a problem with some of the lights going out on the A/C controls (fixed for around $500 I believe) and 4 year old tire sensor batteries that died and needed replacing but that's it from 50,000 miles when I got it to 71,000 miles which it has now.

Info for CL600KIDD

CL600KID, don't overlook the Crankshaft Position Sensor. It can be hard to find this problem because it won't always retain a code. Cheap fix too. Hope that Helps, Chuck.

I have had my 2000 CL500 since Feb 04.
Put 55,000 Miles on it. It had 17K when purchased.
So its at 72K miles now. My Extended warranty runs out at 75K Miles.

ABC Pump at 20K Miles. $ 3500.00 Covered.
Normal A+B. About $ 350.00 a Year.
Tires. 3 Times now. $ 600.00 every 2 Years.
Brakes 3 Times . Rotors once. $ 600.00 every 2 Years.
Just flushed the Coolant $ 200.00
Tranny fluid flush is next. ????
MY CD changer is shot. Living without it.
Batterys. 2 @ $ 125.00 Each. Car only stays charged for about a week
without a trickle. Its draining someplace. I live with it.

Other little things. Volume switch on wheel. $ 200.00
Trunk suck failure $ 200.00

Now the question is. Warranty is running out. But the Car is looking perfect
and is running strong. Mine does not lose ABC pressure and droop at all.
So I am going to keep her another couple years and dump her just before
100 K Miles. I figure $ 1000.00 per year in Maint.

After having 2 high end Benz`s for a combined almost 7 Years.

These cars are either rock solid. Or cursed. There is no in between.
