Replaced coils, spark plugs, intercooler pump...STILL MISFIRING!?!
My mom's car is in the shop for the fourth time on the same thing...ENGINE MISFIRE. They replaced all of the aforementioned items, but still the problem remains. They're going to replace the other coil for the other cylinder bank and the throttle position sensor. Anything else I should mention to the shop?

When they replaced the plugs and coils did they replace the red insulators that go over each spark plug? Also if it is cutting out an entire bank typically the main ignition module is the culprit that sits dead center on top of the engine.

It's only misfiring on one cylinder, #11. I'm hoping this is the end of the problem. Otherwise, we will be turning it in for a new W221.

I finally got the car back last night. Turned out to be the throttle position sensor and the ignition coil for the left bank of cylinders. They only replaced the right bank of coils the second time. Best of all, it was fixed 'under warranty'. I only paid for the diagnosis ($441). Don't think that I got away free though. This was after paying more than $3000 total on two different occasions. When they realized that they didn't fix the problem the first couple times, they had to suck it up and fix everything on their part because they know damn well that I wasn't paying any more. In the end, it's fixed and I just want that car to sit in the garage. End of next year, we'll definitely be getting another car and let that one sit before it costs us more money. HA!
EDIT: Went to get car inspected for new registration. Indie says the inner tie rods and front wheel bearings are bad so it didn't pass inspection. Dealership says there was nothing out of the ordinary. Driving it back to the shop yet AGAIN.
